THE EVENT

The project invites 6000 children from primary and secondary school children (10-14 year olds) to participate in ‘A Licence to Thrill’, a one-off concert performing the music of James Bond including the latest releases as well as contemporary tunes such as Michael Jackson’s Bad and Take That’s The Greatest Day. OO7 finds himself up against the criminal mastermind with a plan to bring down the international money markets. The choir are at the centre of events singing and making actions that define the plot and engage the audience.

Each young person will receive two CDs with which they practice at home. Over the course of at least 12 weeks all the songs are learnt and practiced together. There is also a DVD and moves are learnt to go with the songs. It’s hard work but also a lot of fun and when 6000 young people sing together the thrill is guaranteed to send a tingle up your back!

The show was last performed in the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in 2006.

How do I find out more?

We are looking for keen school pupils aged between 10-14 who sing in class or as part of a choir. They need to be led by a teacher who can get them to make a good sound together. The teacher uses a set of backing tracks which we supply. There is also a schedule of work which clearly guides teachers and pupils through the process.

I am interested in being part of this event. I am a teacher/run a choir and would like to know more about participating:
